- East Side Arts Alliance trying to think about how to keep people engaged thru Town Hall. Have to do these events in partnership with an organizing entity
- Need to make room for different organizing/engagement models so we don’t just reach one constituency

Funding Prioritization Process
- Eight hours of work in January
- Two hours each on:
- More concrete on indicators and targets
- Dig into core capacities--customized list of core capacities
- Apply results, indicators and capacities to work groups--will strategies and projects get us to results, where are we strong/weak in terms of capacities
- Develop funding and technical assistance priorities for 2004
- Four meetings in January, products associated with each meeting
- Need due diligence on people’s ability to achieve outcomes--won’t just fund people because they’ve stayed at table
- Attach documents to meeting announcements so Jennie can determine whether she can attend. If she can’t, can at least give some thought to process
- Can Casey give money for release time to participate in planning process
- Not prepared to get on that slippery slope
- Fred and Deb do individual meetings for steps 1 and 2. Meet for steps 3 and 4
Structure
- Where does education fit in?
- Parent organizing–overarching of education and safety
- Should education be in box? Need to share information with collaborative
- Discussion about criteria for how things fit in Making Connections
- Want to focus on more collaborative projects. Resources go to collaborative projects
- Ask groups about how structures would be effective
