Announcements

• Sonya passed out information about Youth Expressions Community Dialogues. Passed out flyer
• ALD
• EBALDC in developing a park at Coliseum Gardens . Doing participatory design process

Work Group Updates

• MCMOI—report on Race Matters event at Parkway on September 21. One hundred seventy people attended. Huge success. After party
• 23rd Avenue —UE Plan almost ready
• FES —doing survey/listening campaign
• Pat would like to know whether question could be included on where people are getting their news/find out what’s going on in the community
• Health work group—alliance enrollment event; moving slowly on promotores [sp.?]
• Housing—IURD report presented at last housing community meeting
• Saftey—EBAYC safety initiative being launched. Next meeting on October 14 or 15. Plan to do a neighborhood clean-up combined with a survey on Saturday, October 25

Resident Engagement

• Resident engagement retreat on November 20
• E-mail report to Maria and Sonia Shah
• Update on cross-site survey and sustainability plan meeting
• Report on ESAA Town Hall meeting. Covered by channels 2 and 7. On evening news. Town hall focused on youth/police issues, violence
• Add Sonya to planning committee list: sshah@kqed.org
