- SACDC $25K grant for Green City Groceries—open a produce market
- SA merchants financial resources workshop, Wednesday, April 23, 9.15 – 11.30 at Hismen Hinnu
- Elise Brown from People’s Credit Union--want to expand to LSA. Would like to have a meeting with LSA groups
- EBALDC Planning received grant for employer-based IDA program—would like to pilot in LSA
- SACDC got Delbert a $1.5 million loan. Try to finish within next six months, maybe earlier

- Jennie:
- Housing—working hard with IURD to develop plan to identify affordable housing sites
- Elena:
- Arts & Culture—getting ready for Jazz Festival May 17
- Elena handed out proposal
- Don:
- 23rd Avenue —Successful merchants’ cleanup. Will now be ongoing. Working with new walking officer on East 15th—followup to October action
- David:
- Beat Health money restored—did not have a productive meeting with Beat Health officer. Larger meeting with Danny [?] and Ignacio and LT to get them to be more responsive. Treat PACs as NCPCs. Focus on one area
- EBAYC partnership with Public Health Department, April 22, will hold study session on juvenile justice as a health issue. Best practices for criminal and juvenile justice reform. 94606 has fourth highest concentration of youth on probation and fifth highest concentration of adults. Neighborhood-based approach to delinquency prevention. Study session will push public health to play more of an advocacy role

- Health—UC Berkeley student collecting health data on LSA. Update for Fred on proposal for health promotion program. Received $60K in funding

- Newspaper—Next issue coming out on Friday. Don has outcomes from retreat with Omo[wale?]. Fred would like newspaper to share retreat results with collaborative
- Karen:
- MCMOI—Legacy event on March 22. Forty people attended. Went well; a family from 23rd Avenue attended and spoke about need for people in the neighborhood to come together

- Concern about people’s willingness to take the time to complete survey

- We will discuss incentives. We will explore subcontracting with CBOs to do outreach and be interviewers. Reviewed schedule. We need to rethink

- Randy, Dave, and [Fred] met to talk about strategy for launching cluster. Developing leadership team:

- Get everyone on same page
- Mapping activities and strategies
- What data we have and what we need
- Hope to meet by end of April
- Don:
- Hoping cluster will represent the diversity of community. Concern about Latino and Asian participation. Lack of African American participants. Need to develop strategies
Theory of Change
- Wednesday, May 7 th
- The clearer we are, the more we can push back with foundations when they ask for products
- Fred:
- Spinning our wheels in discussion around structure. Best way to proceed is to acknowledge what is happening
- Think of clusters as exploratory committees. Let that process run its course before we think about restructuring. Results of that process may lead us to restructure
- There is AECF Theory of Change document. Fred will get it to us
- Who’s going to come:
- May want to be more intentional about who comes
- Retreat is smaller group of core people, then share with others for feedback

- ToC is about accountability among ourselves. Challenge is for all of us to come to agreement
