Housing and Economic Development
- There is a meeting on Monday.
- Proposal pending for TA to look into potential properties.
- Need to talk about economic development and asset development focus.

Arts and Culture
- ESAA went on a tour of the south. Asha’s Cultural Center in NO
- Looking at Hismen Hinnu leasing agreement
- Will focus on building issues
- Planning a train the trainer event on voter education
- Would like to put together a series of town hall meetings on issues
- Want jazz festival to be more community owned
- Should LSA do a site visit to Lemert park
MCMOI- Pat St. Onge
- Pat and Jennifer hired to take the work on.
- It is clear that they do not have enough youth participation
- Working on Legacy screenings- will do one at Garfield or Roosevelt.
- Will use film to look at parent-child relationships
- Next film in pipeline is Matter of Race
- Casey wants folks in the community to make a film
- Fred is concerned about weak link between MCMOI and collaborative. There is no clear way to identify how MCMOI move the collaborative agenda.
- Need better coordination.
- Can we integrate MCMOI into Arts & Culture?
Fred Report
- Oakland officially in Phase II
- Celebration being planned- choose date
- Oakland will be assigned a trustee, will schedule a site visit
- Cross site evaluation meeting January 26-27 in Baltimore. Up to phone surveys/ site. Evaluation linked to common ground outcomes.
- 750,000-800,000 per year for grant making
- TA pool= 5 million across all sites.
- Other pieces more flexible with money that Bart & Fred have access to
- Need to work out how money is distributed for conferences and travel.
- FES Institute January 28-29.
- What is FES? Introduce consultants and TA.
- FES summit in LSA to get new players involved – maybe in early February
- PRI is starting up- up to $500,000 per PRI, but opportunities to make deposits in community development banks. Deb Montesinos will be new TARC liaison.
Next Steps on Outcomes Development
- Work group follow-up
- Work Groups need to have a discussion.
- Planning committee should meet after work groups have met and make a recommendation to the full collaborative.
- Clarify what is expected of work groups at 1/9 meeting.
