Omawali presented the committee with NCDI’s technical assistance plan and reviewed the five major phases of the work that needs to be accomplished in order to completed outcomes document by November. He advised the group that:

This document needs to be completed in 12 weeks.
Residents need to be involved
The key component of this document are outcome indicators, strategies, partnership, budget and timeline.
This is not a linear process.

Questions:

Do you have adjust the workgroups to meet Casey’s definitions?

We should fuse the current work group work and have them plug into Casey’s definition.
This process should be driven by LSA framework.

How do we incorporate the work of individual organizations that fit into Casey’s definitions?

Should focus on the work of the working groups

Will the planning committee be able to identify the gaps in the collaborative work? Is this is the role of the larger collaborative?

Instead of trying a new model could we just adapt the Urban Strategies Council matrix and fill it in accordingly?

Conclusion

Each of the 11 categories used for the Urban Strategies Council’s matrix will be assigned to a workgroup. This will help ensure that all of the categories are covered with minimal duplication.
