Meeting Minutes
December 19, 2001

Present: Jennie Mollica, LFCD; Mariano Jauco, EBALDC; Don Davenport, SACDC; Eric Cone, SACDC; Letitia Thierry, GMAC; Owusu Amoakohene, Urban Strategies, Yung Ouyang, Urban Strategies.

1. Welcome and Introductions
   
2. Presentation: Land Trust
   
   Due to David Jay-Bonn’s illness, the presentation by the Northern California Land Trust will be rescheduled for January.
   
3. Available Data and Possible Analyses
   
   Owusu of Urban Strategies presented a document summarizing available housing data, future plans, and analyses that can now be conducted using available databases. Don raised the need for additional data on family incomes and median home prices. Discussion raised the interest in using data for three important outcomes:
   
   1. a document stating the need in the Lower San Antonio for affordable housing development;
   2. a data summary of opportunities for affordable housing development in the Lower San Antonio;
   3. a document asserting the feasibility of the Multilingual Homeownership Center project, based on incomes and home prices. By the end of February, Urban Strategies will prepare a full data report and map relevant to these three data needs. In January, the Housing Committee will have the opportunity to see a demonstration of the database in use at Urban Strategies.
      
4. Next Meeting
   
   Two meetings of the Housing Committee will be held in January, on Jan. 9 and Jan. 23, at 3:30 p.m.. Future emails will confirm the agendas and locations. (One meeting may be held at Urban Strategies).
