- FINAL FRIDAYS – Every last Friday of the month FREE community screenings of videos at EASTSIDE ARTS ALLIANCE – 2587 INTERNATIONAL BLD. – 7-9PM. Open to all. Next Screening is this FRIDAY, JUNE 24 – “Fruit of Labor” about street vendors in the Fruitvale district. Filmmaker and members of the cast will be present. Free food and musical offering.
- Spoken Word Workshop opportunity – more details to follow. Anyone interested in planning or participating in a project using spoken word/poetry to address issue of race in the San Antonio neighborhood should call for more information.

- NEIGHBORHOOD GRANTS
- The first round of Neighborhood Grants has been proposed. Ideas include community murals, community garden and produce center, youth basketball league and children’s music classes. Residents are encouraged to volunteer to help with any of these projects. Call for more information.
